If you are researching how to stop overeating and lose weight, you have likely tried a lot of things on your own.  Sheer will power.  Self imposed diets.  Rigorous exercise.  Chances are, you have had this problem for many years.  By now you have probably developed a cycle all your own:  trying this new thing, becoming energized, finding stumbling blocks, quitting, feeling demoralized, maintaining status quo or getting worse, then looking a new plan.  By now, you are likely doubtful that anything will ever work.  At least long-term.  You may think despairingly that you will be “fat forever” and there’s nothing more you can do.  You have a small hope that you are wrong which keeps you searching, but overall you are suspicious and distrustful of anything that advertises weight loss that lasts.
